man... i had a whole.. lot of list i wanted to make. but that was this morning when we were waiting for our ride to get here so we could hike up the mountain. but they never came. so we went to bed. so i had dreams about being somewhere (probably afghanistan since i was thinking about the kite runner..) where there was a war where christians were being slaughtered and i escaped somehow and ended up killing a few people which is never fun... that kinda sucked. and i forgot. i think it was music. i wanted to write down all the music i needed to remember when i eventually replace my ipod so i don't forget. but... now it seems feeble and unnecessary, because for some reason i have an idea in my head that my ipod can get fixed and that all the crap i have will be restored and i won't have to go search 20 computers to gather them all up.. grrawr. so here's what i'll write. awesome worship bands/ other bands that i have discovered while i've been here (pfft, not discovered, because that implies exploration, which i did none of. they were shown to me. fraud!!). also... new cds that i will have in september when they are released. all 2-3 of them.

i feel compelled... if not convicted; to display to you my alliteratively various adverby touching alphabet. its not creepy if its love. a solid marriage or bromance allows for many a quick touch. let it begin! there is many days until valentines day.. take your pick.
A- amorously arm - wrestle.
B- beautifully bump.
C- courageously caress. or cup.
D- dangerously dode.
E- eruptionously embrace. (if its not real its because websters isn't creative enough! just IMAGINE eruptionously!)
F- functionally fondle.
G- generously galvanize. (if you are a machine...)
H- heinously hold.
I- insinuatingly ire. (if you just suck.)
J- jokingly jostle.

times like these... make me happy to be a christian. well, i'm always happy to be a child of God. but.. after a sweet prayer meeting like tonight i feel far less obligation and far more pure desperation for more of God. te aroha baptist definitely has an anointing on it.
but flip... reading gets me going. like gas on a freaking mental fire. shane claiborne.. 'Jesus for president'... i've read a few books during DTS but this one has me going. its not even anything new! its a lot of re-writing from rob bell's 'Jesus wants to save christians' and i think a lot from 'irresistible revolution', shane claibornes first book. all it has done so far is summed up the bible till Jesus and how the israelites have struggled and overcome and struggled some more but how through the entire thing God has been leading them through change that always takes them out and away from the empire of that day. how revolutionary everything God told them to do was... i knew the levitical laws were important in that day an within the context of how God needed to get them straight with him, but i didn't realize they were set up to set the israelites apart from the rest of the world. from the empire that was egypt... the laws were there to distinguish the children of God (through which the son of man would come) from the rest of the conforming world. when they failed again and again and Jesus finally entered in to redeem all of mankind, his words were just as world rebelling and anti-empire society that they killed him.
i don't even know why i get so fired up, but i guess just recognizing what and who exactly i am living for gets me all jacked up and ready to face the world. i know we each have our own convictions placed in us by our designer, but they are all formed through the bedrock foundation that is the truth of God. i think i really enjoy knowing that i'm meant to be set apart just by following Christ. i can't wait to get to more parts of the book about todays empire... hooray for learning.
